This is an online course held via Zoom. Please have a current email address on file with us. You will be sent login information a few days before class begins. Learn to communicate in a positive way, even in difficult situations. In this two-session workshop you will learn four key insights that will provide you a roadmap to an improved communication style. The insights help you foster a positive attitude by embracing grace and gratefulness. Ultimately you will learn to develop a communication style that leads to more positive interactions with people on a day-to-day basis. I call this approach, “Choosing to make lemonade.”
"Eagle" is an exciting, fun, and spectacular picture to paint. It will thrill you each time you look at it on your wall. Make sure that you sign your masterpiece so that you can prove that you actually painted it. The painting will be in oil which is easy to work with. All materials provided in class including paints, 16 X 20 inch canvas and painting supplies. Your painting will be ready for you to frame and put on your wall at home when you finish. The oil painting will take 4 weeks to dry but can still be put into the frame of your choice and hung immediately on your favorite wall. Frames for sale at class if you wish to purchase for between $30-40 with metal clips for hanging. Your instructor, Jay Rupp, is a certified Bob Ross art instructor.
If you know how to use a sewing machine but are lost when it comes to reading and following a sewing pattern, this class is for you. Learn how to understand envelope information as well as the ins and outs of pattern piece layout and cutting. From start to finish, Sandra will guide you through a step-by-step process that will demystify pattern directions. Leave class with a good start on a sewing project. Bring a beginner pattern and the following supplies: Week 1: Simple beginner sewing pattern; fabric scissors or rotary cutter and mat. Week 2-3: Simple beginner sewing pattern; fabric scissors or rotary cutter and mat, fabric and notions (discussed Week 1), sewing machine (manual, if you have it), thread, seam ripper, pins, measure tape or ruler.
