Online: Vegetable Gardening for Beginners

Adult Enrichment / Home & Garden -
Adult W-SP 26

Want to grow your own fresh vegetables? This online class will teach you the basics of starting a garden at home. You’ll learn how to pick the best spot, decide how big your garden should be, prepare the soil, and choose what to plant. We’ll also talk about whether to use seeds or starter plants, when to plant, and when to harvest your crops.

The class uses research from the University of Minnesota and real-life tips from the instructor’s own gardening experience — including what worked and what didn’t. Whether you’re new to gardening or want to improve your skills, this class will help you get started.

This is an online class held through Zoom. Please make sure we have your current email so we can send you the login information and PDF handouts a few days before class.
