Build stronger drawing skills while exploring the styles you enjoy most. Practice key techniques such as proportions, shading, visual storytelling and sketchbook habits that support growth and confidence.
You will work with a variety of drawing styles, including anime, realism, cartoons, portraits and animals. The week includes both guided lessons and personal choice projects, giving you the chance to develop your own creative voice. By the end of camp, you will have a small portfolio that shows your progress, highlights your strengths and celebrates your creativity.
Lisa Van Wyk, a passionate art educator for over 19 years, is the owner of Art Innovators & KidzArt. These enrichment programs are Lisa's way of fostering the creative spark in minds of all ages. With a B.A. in Fine Arts from Hamline University and a M.A. in Art Education from the University of Minnesota, Lisa brings a strong foundation in artistic practice and pedagogy to her teaching. But for Lisa, art is more than just technique. It's about embracing the freedom to explore, to take risks, and to trust your own creative vision.
