The Early Childhood Parent Advisory Council (ECPTO) consists of families dedicated to supporting Osseo Area Schools Early Childhood and Family Education programs - ECFE, Preschool and PreK, and Early Childhood Screening.
Classes specifically designed for parents and infants. Families stay together the entire class time. Registration is based on the age of the child at the start date of each class.
Mixed Age adventures for parents and children age birth to 5 years old. Parent and child separating time will be determined by the needs of the group.

Rita Apaloo is a creative connector of people, ideas, and things. Her passion for community led her to start a networking group with little to no experience or previous guidance. Over a period of six years, she built a diverse network through engaging events that brought together approximately 400 people from over 20 different countries. Years later, people who met through her network continue to maintain friendships and work together in professional and personal capacities. Rita wrote about her incredible journey bringing people together in her book, African Women Connect. How I created and grew a networking group of African immigrant women for friendship, business, and community. Professionally, she has extensive experience in a variety of areas, including grant management, fund development, marketing communications, program evaluation, outreach, and community education. She is often involved in multiple community initiatives. Her credentials include bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication, Executive Master's in Business Communications, and Certified Professional Project Manager (CPPM). Rita has been a Brooklyn Park resident since 2003.
