Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is a unique program designed to support families with young children, from birth to age 8. Through ECFE, parents, guardians, and caregivers engage in classes that combine play-based learning for children with resources, guidance, and support for adults. Each class typically includes time for parents and children to play together, followed by a separate discussion time where parents can connect, share experiences, and receive helpful insights from licensed parent educators. Early Childhood ScreeningAbout Early Childhood Screening Early Childhood Screening is a free service for children ages 3 to 5 years old. Screening includes: A check of vision, hearing, height, weight and developmental progress. A review of immunizations records and family information. An individual review with parents/guardians of their child's progress and needs. Early Childhood Screening identifies needs that may require special attention before a child enters school. IN-PERSON APPOINTMENT: New screening appointments are typically added on Tuesday's at 9 a.m. Parent/guardian requests an in-person screening appointment for their child at a school location. KidstopRegistration for Summer 2025 opened on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 6 a.m. Rice Lake Elementary Rush Creek Elementary Woodland Elementary During the week of March 24, Kidstop will begin accepting Summer contracts, in the order they were submitted, and based on current staffing levels. Our office team processes contracts one at a time. With the volume of registrations we have received, this process will take place over the coming weeks. Kidstop is actively hiring staff for the summer program, and staffing will continue to change in the coming weeks. Staffing has been and will continue to be a top priority. Waitlist communication if needed will be sent by April 18. During the campaign, you have an opportunity to voluntarily make a fully tax-deductible donation to District 279 Foundation and/or Greater Twin Cities United Way. Both of these organizations serve children and families who live in the communities served by our school district. District 279 Foundation enhances Osseo Area Schools dedication to all scholars by funding innovative projects and recognizing the achievements of scholars and staff at the annual Investment in Youth celebration. Greater Twin Cities United Way believes when we unite as changemakers we can disrupt systems and address the challenges no one can solve alone. Together, we will create a more equitable community where all people thrive regardless of income, race, or place. There is also an option to designate a non-profit of your choosing through Greater Twin Cities United Way. Osseo Area Schools has a history of being one of the highest performing school districts in the Greater Twin Cities United Way service area.
