Disney's Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world, and now you have the opportunity to produce this one-of-a-kind musical this summer! Bring the African savanna to life with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale. Lion King Kids features classic songs from the Broadway musical and animated feature film, including “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “He Lives in You,” and “Hakuna Matata.”
Lion King Kids is a great show for students who enjoy singing, dancing, and creating different characters. It's also a great opportunity for any student who wants to work together to make something special! All students receive a part in the musical. Space is limited to 50 students - all students must be pre-registered before the first rehearsal. The BEAT (Bunce Educational Adventure Theater) will provide trained theater staff who will lead middle school students through a musical theater experience that will promote problem solving skills, working cooperatively, leadership and self-confidence. From beginners to experienced, the learning never stops! Auditions for lead characters will be held on the first day.
There will be performances on Saturday, June 28th at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Costumes are provided, students need to provide base layer.
