Online: Elegant Soups & Bread - Chicken & Dumplings, Chicken Orzo Avgolemono Soups & Gourmet French Bread

Adult Enrichment / Cooking & Nutrition -
Adult Fall 25

Class will take place on Zoom, free online software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting.

Nothing expresses the comfort of home more than a delicious bowl of soup. Step into the world of soulful soups and gourmet French bread in this elegant, cook-along experience with Chef Tess. Create two comforting yet refined classic soups. You can choose to create one or both during the class along with a wonderful gourmet French bread loaf. Choose one soup for your cook-along, and watch a demonstration of the other or make both! Both pair perfectly with the amazing bread you will make from scratch.

On the menu: Tess's rich and creamy chicken and dumplings soup, and the Greek chicken orzo avgolemono soup she grew up with. The tender orzo helps thicken the full-flavored soup while the avgolemono, a finishing sauce made with lemon and eggs that brings everything together, creates a silky texture and vibrant flavor. The golden loaf of gourmet French bread will complement your soups; perfect for dipping, savoring, and sharing. Whether you’re looking to expand your soup repertoire or bring a touch of sophistication to your comfort food, this class blends heart and elegance in every spoonful.

While cooking-along is loads of fun, and highly recommended, it is optional. A list of ingredients and class details will be received in advance of the class with enough time for shopping and preparation. Your instructor’s personal recipe from this class is included in a professionally made PDF packet you'll receive after the class. Tess's recipes are copyrighted and are only shared with those who register for this class. As a bonus, Tess created a private and public group on Facebook for class participants. Everyone will receive an invite; joining is optional.

Note: One registration fee for this virtual interactive class can include immediate family members living full-time in the same home only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required. If friends, adult children, or extended family members are gathering for a fun night together, each household must register separately even if participating together.
