This is a relaxed and friendly open-forum seminar for participants with a seasoned Will & Trust Attorney. Questions like: Should I avoid probate? Is a Will good enough? Do I need a trust? How do I decide who should serve in my estate plan? What is the death tax? How do I avoid leaving a mess for my children? Which trust is best for my needs? Can I use a transfer-on-death deed? How do my retirement assets operate in my will & trust? All questions will be answered!
About Steve: Steve is the founding member of Ledin Law PLLC, a small law firm located in the East Metro that specializes in two areas of the law: (i) Estate Planning and Estate Representation and (ii) small business startup and representation. Steve cut his legal teeth 30 years ago with his start in the legal profession at Moore, Costello & Hart PLLP, a twin cities-based law firm that laid claim to being the oldest law firm in the State of Minnesota, founded in 1855. Steve’s skill, expertise and vast experience as an estate planning and business attorney is supplemented by his entrepreneurial spirit and extensive business operational experience, as well as his driving desire to provide education on these matters to all that may desire to learn. Steve teaches a host of community education classes in communities all over the State of Minnesota. Steve graduated with a Juris Doctor (Magna Cum Laude) in 1997 from William Mitchell College of Law, after graduating from Saint Cloud State University and Macalester College with a Bachelor of Arts-Political Science (Summa Cum Laude). Steve is the current President of the East Side Area Business Association and also serves on the boards of a number of closely held companies and Minnesota non-profit corporations.
About Rolf: Rolf is the owner of Business and Family Advisors LLC and has been in business for 15 years. His focus areas are financial planning, retirement, social security, tax planning, Medicare, Group Benefits and 401(k) plans. Rolf is licensed in MN, WI, IA, MT and AZ. In 2016, he earned his Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) and continues to maintain it and be in good standing. This designation is a professional certification that demonstrates an advisor serving as an investment fiduciary has met certain requirements to earn and maintain the credential. AIF® Designees can demonstrate that they have met educational, competence, conduct and ethical standards to carry out a fiduciary standard of care and serve the best interests of their clients. Rolf holds a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from The University of St. Thomas. He has been teaching in the surrounding community education sector for over 10 years.
