Interested in writing for TV or movies? In this class, you’ll learn the basics of screenwriting, including:

  • Special terms and formats used in the industry
  • How to plan your story and build strong characters
  • The difference between a Treatment, Spec Script, and Shooting Script
  • When and how to use each type

You’ll also get tips on how to sell your script to agents and producers, and learn what goes on behind the scenes in the business of screenwriting.

The instructor, LeeAnne Krusemark, is a former journalist, published author and editor, and teaches publishing at colleges across the country—including Harvard’s adult education program.

LeeAnne is an author, speaker, business owner, Chamber of Commerce Past President, and guest instructor at more than 200 colleges and other learning institutions from Maine to Hawaii, as well as an adjunct online professor of publishing through Ed2Go at more than 2,000 facilities worldwide, including Harvard.
