Online: Write a Riveting Mystery, Suspense, or Crime Story

Adult Enrichment / Arts & Creativity -
Adult W-SP 26

Want to write mystery stories for fun or even get paid? In this class, you’ll learn how to create exciting mysteries with interesting characters and clever plots. You’ll explore different types of mystery stories, learn how to plan your story using a three-part structure, and discover how to choose the right setting.

You’ll also learn how to grab readers’ attention from the start, use “red herrings” to keep them guessing, and build suspense until the big reveal. We’ll also talk about ways to publish your mystery stories.

This is an online class held through Zoom. Please make sure we have your current email so we can send you the Zoom link before class. PDF handouts are included and will be shared during the presentation.

Your instructor, LeeAnne Krusemark, is a former journalist, published author and editor, and teaches publishing at colleges across the country — including Harvard Adult Education.
