Have you ever wanted to make your own YouTube videos but didn’t know where to start? This beginner-friendly class will show you how to turn your ideas into videos and share them online. You’ll learn how to choose a topic, set up your channel, and use tools you already have—like your phone or computer—to create content. We’ll also talk about writing good titles, making eye-catching thumbnails, promoting your videos, and how YouTube channels can make money.
Bring: a notebook to take notes. This class will give you the skills to start your own YouTube channel and share what you love with others.
Joel Feld is an Apple technology trainer, content creator, and founder of Learn with Joel, a platform dedicated to helping people use their devices with confidence. With years of experience teaching Apple users through YouTube tutorials, community workshops, and one-on-one training, Joel specializes in breaking down complex technology into simple, practical steps anyone can follow.
A Chicago native, Joel now lives in Minnesota with his wife and four kids. By day, he works as a software engineer but teaching has always been his true passion. He began his career at Apple as a Personal Trainer, where he worked directly with customers to help them get the most out of their Macs, iPhones, and iPads. That experience shaped his teaching style: approachable, encouraging, and always focused on real-world results.
When he’s not teaching, Joel enjoys traveling, photography, and creating content for his Learn with Joel YouTube channel, which reaches thousands of viewers each month. His classes cover everything from Mac and iPhone basics to Apple Photos, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, iCloud, YouTube, and even new AI tools like ChatGPT and Apple Intelligence.
