In this hands-on class, you’ll create a stylish basket using leather and other natural materials. You’ll fold leather into shape, add a hardwood rim, and finish it off with a hand-sewn sea grass top. No experience is needed—just bring your creativity and a good attitude!
This is a great class for anyone who enjoys crafting and wants to try something new.
Jim Kern believes in making leathercraft accessible to everyone, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills. Through detailed instruction and a hands-on approach, he ensures that every student leaves with both a beautifully crafted piece and the confidence to continue their leathercraft journey. When not in the workshop, Jim is often designing custom leather goods, exploring new techniques, and sharing the love of handmade craftsmanship with the community.
