Learn how to make quick, healthy, and delicious chicken recipes that are perfect for family dinners or entertaining guests. In this class, you’ll work with whole chicken, chicken parts, and boneless, skinless breasts using skillets and the oven.

  • Spicy honey-dipped strips
  • Chicken with white wine and mushroom sauce
  • Crab-stuffed chicken breasts
  • Crispy parmesan strips

  • Pineapple-raspberry nibbles
  • Raspberry lime chicken
  • Roasted mushrooms and apples

Three dishes make great appetizers, and the rest are sure to become favorites at your table!

Class fee includes a $17 food supply fee.

Laurel Severson

Laurel Severson is a University of Minnesota graduate with a double major in Home Economics and Education. Her career has centered around food—from editing a series of international cookbooks and testing recipes to managing dining services at 3M for 30 years. Her roles included overseeing executive dining, employee buffets, conference meals, and special events before transitioning into hospital and hotel food service industry.

Today, Laurel teaches hands-on cooking classes across multiple Community Education districts in the metro area. She has lived abroad in the Philippines and London, traveled extensively, and is an avid cookbook collector. Known for sharing practical culinary tips, she frequently entertains in her historic 1882 St. Paul home and is an active community volunteer within her St. Paul community.
