    Create a beautiful hanging fabric collage using a technique called Slow Stitching - a relaxing form of embroidery that focuses on process rather than pattern. We'll begin by layering fabric scraps onto a 6 x 6" square and then use a variety of hand embroidery stitches as well as trims, beads, etc. to add texture and color.     Exploring Pottery

    This highly popular class is taught by an expert and Maple Grove Senior High art teacher and fills quickly! With an emphasis on exploring and developing throwing skills on the pottery wheel, students could explore all the various pottery techniques, including slab-based designs, coils, slip molds, sprigs and textures. Learn about glazes and under glazes as well. Wear old clothes and be ready to sink your hands into clay. All materials are included in the class fee. Wear hard sole shoes to class. Bring your own tools or use the ones provided for you. Aprons or lab coats are also provided. Please note: February 19 and May 14 are a project pick up date only. More details will be shared at class by the instructor.
