    Acting for Everybody

    Have you ever wondered how actors do what they do - how they can seemingly become different people and touch our emotions? This class will pull back the curtain and explore various techniques actors use to create memorable characters, while noting that we are all actors ourselves in our everyday life. We will also look at how actors are storytellers, and that all of us have a story to tell. Students will create their own stories and characters while gaining confidence in being in front of others. A fun time is guaranteed for all!

  • Barn Quilt Painting

    Grab your friends and family and gather to create a beautiful barn quilt pattern on a 14" x 14” reclaimed wood pallet. You will be guided step-by-step through in-person and written instructions. You're welcome to choose your own colors to make it your own. The barn wood is locally sourced by craftsman and farmer, Josh Reinitz of East Henderson Farm, each pallet has a unique quality. The wood is truly reclaimed, meaning each pallet will be completely individual and will have flaws, such as nail holes and small dings. The wood has been carefully selected, pre-sanded and assembled.     Exploring Pottery

    This highly popular class is taught by an expert and Maple Grove Senior High art teacher and fills quickly! With an emphasis on exploring and developing throwing skills on the pottery wheel, students could explore all the various pottery techniques, including slab-based designs, coils, slip molds, sprigs and textures. Learn about glazes and under glazes as well. Wear old clothes and be ready to sink your hands into clay. All materials are included in the class fee. Wear hard sole shoes to class. Bring your own tools or use the ones provided for you. Aprons or lab coats are also provided. Please note: Oct 29 & Dec 15 are project pick up days only.
  • Fall Chunky Pumpkin

    Join us for a cozy and creative session using the popular finger knitting technique to craft cute, seasonal décor! You’ll begin by practicing the finger knitting techniques together, so don’t worry if you’re a beginner, you’ll be guided at your own pace every step of the way. Our main project will be a soft pumpkin made from chunky yarn, measuring approximately 12–14 inches in diameter. You'll also have the option to customize your pumpkin with different colors and sizes to match your style or seasonal theme.

  • Glass Mosaic Table or Sign

    Glass mosaic sounds like a fancy, difficult art form however in this class, you will learn how it can be fun, and easy while creating a tabletop or sign! Look through the idea book, browse the patterns and stencils, and choose from dozens of colors of precut glass. The first night is dedicated to working on your project, having fun, and discovering your creative side, with some homework. During the second night, you will grout and learn about glass cutting, mosaic resources, other types of mosaics. Sign ideas include welcome, house number, last name, state of MN. The table is 16”x16” and 16” tall and is $75 payable to the instructor at class via cash or Venmo. Signs vary in size and are $16-45 each and are also payable to instructor at class.
