For students who have no or limited experience with 3D Printing. Learn the ropes of 3D modeling and printing. Use 3D pens to understand printing in plastic and luse CAD software (computer-aided design). You’ll use Engineering Design Process to create your own designs and print them out at camp to take home. Trapped: Engineers Escape RoomJuly 17-21Problem-solving, creative plots, some strategic thinking, and teamwork under pressure makes escape rooms exciting and memorable. Each day starts with a simulated escape room where teams have to solve engineering challenges and puzzles in order to escape such as a Hijacked Plane, an Underground Cave and a Locked Playroom. Engineering challenges include building straw rockets, parachutes, flashlights, catapults and then coding a robot. After escaping the room for the day, you will learn about the parts of an escape room and the different types of puzzles. Woodworking 2.0July 17-21Build a paddle boat, a bird house, trophy stand and garden tote. You will learn to measure, cut, sand, paint and then take home each project you build. You will learn about the use of basic tools (hammers, nails, screwdriver, measuring tape, t-square and more). SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY. No power tools will be used in camp.
