Horse Day Camp – Horsemanship MentoringHorse CampEnjoy an entire day with horses. Come for one day or all. Learn what it takes to own and care for a horse. Safe handling, grooming, groundwork, horsemanship, basic riding and horse farm operations skills are taught. Disciplines covered: saddle seat, hunt, dressage & Western. Horse, tack, grooming supplies, safety helmet and instructions provided. One riding lesson daily. Bring a lunch, two snacks, and water bottle to camp and dress for the weather. Horse Weeklong Camp – Horsemanship MentoringHorse CampStart the week as a novice and finish strong with great horsemanship and riding skills. Learn what it takes to own and care for a horse. Grow your safe handling, grooming, ground work, horsemanship, basic riding and horse farm operations skills. Accelerate your skills quickly with one riding and one handling session daily. Focus on basic riding skills in a Western saddle abut learn about all other disciplines too. Horse, tack, grooming supplies, safety helmet and instructions are provided. Bring a lunch, two snacks and a water bottle to camp. Dress for the weather. Long pants and boots/shoes with a heel required. A waiver must be signed by guardian upon arrival. WaitlistIntro to Horse Riding - Lead Line Horse Riding LessonsHorse CampWith assistance, learn to walk a horse in-hand, groom, and ride. Learn the basics of horsemanship and equitation (the art of riding). Start in Western saddle, hold two reins, learn “WHOA”, how to steer, walk and trot (if appropriate) a horse under saddle while on a lead rope and/or lunge line. You may even ride independently as your skills progress. Horse, tack, grooming, safety helmet and instruction also provided. One student per instructor for individual attention and safety. Scheduling is on a first-come, first-serve basis with preference provided to frequent riders. Bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. Long pants and boots/shoes with a heel required. Walk to Trot Horse Riding LessonsHorse CampIncrease your riding skills, have fun and learn to ride a horse independently. Gain the confidence and skill to ride off the lunge-line at a walk and introduce the trot on the lunge line with the potential to ride off the lunge line. Expand on the basics of horsemanship and equitation (the art of riding). Saddle and bridle your horse, ride in Western saddle, hold two reins, learn “WHOA”, how to steer, walk and trot.
