  • Individual Guitar Lessons: Summer - Fridays

    Summer guitar lessons will be offered in-person at Elm Creek Elementary. If you want to learn how to play the guitar or continue learning, sign up for guitar lessons this summer with Brandon Wells who has over thirty years of experience playing guitar and bass. He teaches all styles of music - rock, classical, jazz, metal, blues, country, folk, praise and worship, and pop as well as just a basic approach that is applicable for any style of music. Music theory, note reading, music interpretation, composition, music appreciation and music therapy are all a part of his teaching program, which gives his students the tools they need to play guitar, learn the music they love and express their creativity. He has been teaching private lessons since 1997, he taught at Champlin School of Music from 1999-2001, Schmitt Music since 2001 and Pitchfever Music Academy. Bring your own guitar to lessons each week.

    Come join a very player-centered and fun soccer camp! Our high energy coaches will take you through skills that include dribbling, shooting, and small sided games 2v2-6v6.   • Baby Yoga

    For families with babies from birth up to crawling (approx. 10 months). If your child is older than 10 months and not yet crawling, call our office office for assistance with your registration - 763-391-8777 When caring for children, it can be difficult to find time to care for yourself. Use this time to breathe, move and connect to self, body, baby and maybe some other adults. Classes start with a warm-up, which is important for both parents and babies and end with parent discussion time. Bring water and towel or yoga mat. Weather permitting, class will be held outdoors. Class fee update: There is no charge for attending this class; the fee listed in the summer flier is being waived.

    Come to interact with your baby in a space designed especially for infants and meet other families with infants in the community. You will learn fun play ideas, songs to sing and gain information and support for parenting your baby. Discussion time will be focused on parenting an infant. Topics typically include: parent and child bond and attachment, adjusting to family life, brain development, developmental milestones, establishing routines, feeding, sleep and more! Infant classes are non-separating classes; families stay together for the entire class time.

    WHAT’S A SUMMER ACTIVITY BAG? It's a fun backpack filled with pre-planned and engaging activities to support your child’s development. Activity bags are available in two age options: Early Learners (birth to age 2 years old) or Preschool Learners (ages 3 to 5 years old). Learners (ages 3 to 5 years old). Activity Bag ordering begins May 6; with pick-up at either Arbor View or Willow Lane Early Childhood Center from May 28 to 31. Get yours, while supplies last!

    Does your child want to take a morning AND afternoon mini-camp and needs a place to go for lunch? Or do you need an extra hour before or after the afternoon or morning mini camps? We offer an optional lunch program for a small additional fee for students participating in the Camp Rocks Mini Camps at Elm Creek Elementary. Students need to bring a bag lunch and beverage – and we will provide the supervision, socialization, and games. Students can bring a book or electronic device if they wish to use that during lunch bunch. Sign up for the week(s) you need.

  • Tantalizing Thai Cuisine (Participation)

    You'll begin by preparing vietnamese summer rolls served with both hoisin and peanut sauce for dipping. Vietnamese spring rolls follow made with pork, chicken, and glass noodles stuffed in rice paper, fried crispy, and served with the classic nuoc cham for dipping. You'll then prepare Pad Thai blending the vibrant flavors of Thailand with rice noodles using chicken, eggs, chilis, garlic, basil, scallions, bean sprouts, sesame oil, lemon and crushed red pepper flakes. For dessert, refreshing Thai lime custard topped with fresh whipped cream This class includes both demonstration and hands-on instruction. Many food items are prepped by the Chef in advance in order to get through these amazing recipes in 3 hours.

    Use your imagination and learn Spanish vocabulary related to your favorite themes – superheroes, princesses, magic, dinosaurs, mermaids, unicorns, and more! Basic conversation and Spanish vocabulary such as colors and counting will be incorporated. Camp will include interactive activities learning Spanish vocabulary and practical conversation elements. Any level of Spanish experience welcome.

    This up-tempo 3v3 basketball skills camp is a dynamic and intensive basketball training program designed to enhance the skills of young athletes in a fun and competitive environment. Camp focuses on developing the fundamental skills necessary for success in 3v3 basketball, including ball-handling, shooting, passing, and defensive techniques. Led by experienced coaches and trainers, you will have the opportunity to improve your game, learn new strategies, and compete with other players of similar age and skill level. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, this camp will be an exciting and challenging basketball experience for all! Bring a healthy snack, water bottle, athletic shoes, and a basketball.
  • Skyhawks Volleyball Camp

    All aspects of volleyball will be taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting, and serving. This co-ed program is designed for the beginning and intermediate player. You will develop fundamental skills through game-speed drills and daily challenges aimed at developing the whole player.   • Summer 2024 Middle School Musical: Finding Nemo Kids

    Disney’s Finding Nemo KIDS is a musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves. Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo KIDS brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure. Finding Nemo Kids is a great show for students who enjoy singing, dancing, and creating different characters. It's also a great opportunity for any student who wants to work together to make something special! All students receive a part in the musical. Space is limited to 50 students - all students must be pre-registered before the first rehearsal. The BEAT (Bunce Educational Adventure Theater) will provide trained theater staff who will lead middle school students through a musical theater experience that will promote problem solving skills, working cooperatively, leadership and self-confidence. From beginners to experienced – learning never stops! Auditions for lead characters will be held on the first day.
